Upcoming Events #OnNicollet
Thursdays, May–October, 6a–6p
The beloved Minneapolis Farmers Market will be returning to Nicollet in 2018 after a three-year construction hiatus.
2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month, May 23–October 10, 10:30a–2:30p
This unique craft market featuring handmade goods from local artists debuted #OnNicollet last summer and fall and returns in 2018 on a routine basis between 7th and 8th streets.
Friday and Saturday, June 15 and 16, 9p-2a
The popular late-night arts festival expands to two nights in 2018 and focuses on downtown Minneapolis. More than 30 interactive artist projects will be installed along Nicollet, at Minneapolis Central Library and in the Commons.
The Nicollet lighting system, including the Light Walk, Nicollet Lanterns and street light beacons, is a key architectural and experiential element of the new Nicollet. The Light Walk and Nicollet Lanterns bring light, color and movement into Nicollet Center, the busiest and most urban area of downtown.
The DID routinely programs this system to support activation and operations on Nicollet. Check out our Lighting Events Calendar to find out which events are supported by our lighting system. If you are interested in requesting a lighting scene on Nicollet for a civic celebration or event, please refer to our guidelines.
Along with these events, watch for more routine activities coming to Nicollet in 2018, including the Nicollet Makers Market, Street Show performances, the Hennepin County mobile bike library, and more.
