Take your winter funk out for some afternoon fun
Ever wonder what all the fuss is about Curling?
Come try your hand at one of the oldest and most quintessential winter sports Thursday afternoons in the heart of downtown. Learn to throw a stone from local experts while you play a quick match with friends.
While you’re there, get creative with fiber artist Knitteapolis and contribute to a public yarnbombing installation. Or carve your own design in cuttlebone and see it poured in piping hot liquid bronze live on the street with the folks from Pedal to the Metal.
Whether you come to cast a stone, a stitch or a miniature bronze sculpture, you’ll be kicking your winter blues into April by celebrating what makes winter great in Minneapolis.
We’ll have hot beverages and street games for all ages. Learn to knit and carve while you warm up in the newly renovated DID Nicollet Office, then pop outside for some seriously fun curling, purling and pouring.
Invite your friends and bring your enthusiasm (experience is not required).
